Urban Adventure Racing 101

What do you need to win at High Trek Adventure? You’ll need more than just quick thinking and fleet feet. Here’s a rundown of what you might want to consider if you want win:

I’ve seen it all at our races: large bottle of Gatorade, unruly city maps and laptop computers (no one has yet to bring a desktop). People are weighed down with the extra pounds of personal items. Over the course of the race day all this extra weight can really take a toll.

Three heads are better than two. Make sure that you have good Google support. These “extra” teammates not only can help you solve clues, but can help you navigate your way through the city.

If you can’t find it or figure it out skip it. If you’re looking to win then you’ll need to be able to solve and find the ten checkpoints in about 10-12 minutes. If it’s taken you longer than that then move on!

Take your time to map your route. This is probably the single most helpful tip I can give you.
