Amazing Race Weekly Wrap-Up

It’s off to South East Asia…getting a 9 hour head start over the last place team, Ken and Tina were the first team off to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On the way to the airport Terence and Sarah got a speeding ticket (spoiler alert: this will hurt them next week where they will be assessed a 30 minute penalty). The beginning was uneventful.

Teams left New Zealand on different flights, but all the teams except for Aja and Ty met up in Singapore. I think Aja and Ty just found a new teammate…the fat lady! We’ll see!

The first challenge teams had to fill up a 25 liter tank the traditional Camdonian way using a hand pump. Dan and Andrew can’t seem to figure out how to do this, figures since they both go to Arizona State U. Once filled teams hop in the truck and head to Siem Reap Harbor where they will take a boat to Kho Andeth, a floating restaurant. This leg of the race was pretty smooth with the exception of Terrence and Sarah’s boat; it broke down about 50 yards from Kho Andeth. Terence and Sarah willed their way to the floating dive. It is here where teams got there next clue, a Detour (see below).

Village Life: Teams must navigate the town in search of 3 items: 1. set of teeth from the dentist; 2. a doll; 3. a basketball, after making a basket

Village Work: Wade into waist deep water to find 2 fish baskets filled with, well, fish. It’s gross but potentially faster. I would do this one.

Now TARers must travel to Angkor Wat, the worlds largest temple where they encounter a Road Block.

Road Block
One person must search Angkor Wat to find the “chamber of echos,” thump there chest then they will receive there next clue. No skill in this
