The Amazing Race Weekly Wrap-Up

Teams fly to Moscow, Russia where they need to find a particular monastery (don’t think it said which one), light a candle then they will receive their next clue. But first…Dallas and Starr’s love blossomed and Team Dandrew (Dan and Andrew) got new shoes (will they have enough money for cabs???). D&A left their shoes at one of the tasks (only an Arizona State grad would do this… .

All the teams arrived on the same flight, but Dan & Andrew left first in a cab. It didn’t matter because Toni & Dallas and Nick & Starr both arrived at the monastery at the same time, and subsequently left at the same time to Kolosok Camp located on the outskirts of Moscow where teams encountered a Detour.

Detour: Boots or Borscht (Teams must don a military uniform for either task)

Boots – Teams must learn a march. Once they feel confident, they must line up with other soldiers and complete a full lap (not sure how long it is; knowing this would be key). Teams will be judged my the sergeant and if he is not satisfied, then they have to repeat the task.

Borscht – Teams must serve 75 troops. Once all are served (without any spillage) then they are free to go.

Team Dan & Andrew had difficulty at the military camp. First Andrew couldn’t wrap his feet, then they switched tasks to borscht where they took off their uniform (they shouldn’t have) and then Dan had a hard time with his motor skills (he couldn’t march), then they went back to borscht.

Once the Detour was complete it was off to find the Zhukovsky Bakery.

Road Block: Bags of Flour
Teams next clue takes them to Zhukovsky Bakery where they had to unload 50 50 pound bags of flour out of a truck and into the bakery. This was exhausting just looking at it.

Pit Stop
Final clue takes teams to Neskuchny Sad Park. This is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race. Here’s how they finished: 1. Toni and Dallas (win a trip for 2 to the Dominican Republic); 2. Ken & Tina; 3. Nick & Starr; 4. Andrew & Dan; – Not eliminated…but they’ll encounter a Speed Bump in the next episode.

This is how I think the adventure racers will finish next week:
4. Dan & Andrew – Eliminated (the Speed Bump should do them in)
3. Nick & Starr
2. Ken & Tina
1. Toni & Dallas (I hope they’ll win)

Next week’s episode: One team looses its passports and all their money and Dan learns a new dance move.
