Airport Eats

January 26, 2009 begins the Chinese New Year and the “year of the dragon,” but for me my year begins a few days earlier on January 24 with a short flight to LAX and thus my “year of the falcon (or any bird of flight will do).” I have my Clear Card (in a future post I’ll tell you how to get one for free), Delta Crown Room annual pass in hand and my ticket (any airline except US Air, pulleease). So what do you do once you get past security and you realize that you have tons of time before your flight begins boarding? What else America, EAT! But with most airline terminals akin to that of the terrible gulag like mall eateries; until today. No more eating Sbarro’s cardboard pizza, the run-of-the-mill national chains or being stuck with junk food from Hudson News ’cause I’ve found some tasty food choices and some tasty blogs so you can create your own food adventure. Bon appetito!

Here are some tasty places I’ve dined in airports across the country:

Portland: Good Dog Bad Dog
Denver: Wolfgang Puck Express
Salt Lake City: Squatters Pub Brewery

I’ll update this list as the year progresses. Also, check out my Yelp reviews.
