…More Like Super Hassle

On a recent trip to NYC I decided that I would take a SuperShuttle into Manhattan saving about $30 (cab would have been $50) or $7 on the subway (you need to pay $5 to take AirTrain from JFK to the subway station).

The deal with Super Shuttle is that you are carted around with other passengers heading to a similar geographic area (kind of a pain, but not too much).

Here’s where is gets exciting: the driver dropped off the first passenger; he grabbed his bags, paid and went into is tiny Flatiron District basement bunker. Everything seemed to go according to pan until the next stop. Passenger number two got out, popped the trunk but his bag vanished like Amelia Earhart. Passenger #1 accedentally grabbed the wrong bag. What a mess. The driver would not go back to Passenger #1′s apartment. Now Passenger #2 had to figure out how to get his belongings back. I think that the driver gave P#2 P#1′s address.

The moral of this story is you gotta watch your own back, especially when it involves strangers.
