Running in your underwear

Teams continued through the arctic in the 5th leg in a race around the world via the Trans-Siberian Railway!

In this episode we find out a lot:
1. Victor is sneakier than we thought. He momentarily formed an alliance with Margie & Luke to find the a DETOUR task, but then got directions on his own and took off! (he’s a sneaky Pete!)

2. Phil is in tremendous shape. He got in uniform for the ROAD BLOCK task (see below).

3. Jen doesn’t wear underwear! Again see the ROAD BLOCK task below.

DETOUR Russian Bride vs. Russian Snowplow.
Russian Bride, using Lada cars, teams took themselves to a Soviet-era apartment, fetched one Russian bride and brought her to the designated church, where her groom was waiting. Once the team had a picture taken with the couple, the groom handed the team their next clue. In Russian Snowplow, with their Lada cars, teams headed to Stadium Spartak, wherein each team member alternated between driving a snowplow and directing their partner along their lane.

ROADBLOCK
the chosen team member must strip to one’s underwear and run a 1.4-mile course along with two companions toward the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, where their partner, who was transported there separately, would join them in heading to the Pit Stop.

This leg of the race was a non-elimination leg. Here’s how they finished: 1. Margie & Luke (trip to St. Lucia); 2. Tammy & Victor; 3. Jaime & Cara; 4. Mel & Mike; 5. Mark & Michael; 6. Kisha & Jen; 7. Christie & Jodi – non-eliminated

Here’s how I think they’ll finish next week:
1. Tammy & Victor (my pick to win)
2. Margie & Luke
3. Mel & Mike
4. Kisha & Jen
5. Jaime & Cara
6. Mark & Michael
7. Christie & Jodi – eliminated (Jodi will be at our Austin race on Aprill 11th!)
