Broke Bike (can’t) Mount It

It’s the day before High Trek Adventure Philly and I’m riding my portable/fold-up bike around South Street lookin’ for a bit to eat when POW! I yanked the handle bars right off the frame of my very expensive (still under warranty, thank heavens) Bike Friday two-wheeler.

Lucky for me I am an extraordinary event planner and had Saturday all set. Now just minor details of figuring out how I was going to get my 23 pounds of junk fixed (not sure if I can call it a bicycle at this point). So long story short and a 3 block walk, $5 cab ride and the Blue line across town into University City and another 8 minute walk and I was at Trophy Bikes (my savior). Trophy Bikes handled it from there.

I’m still not sure how I broke my bicycle, but I would break my leg to put on an awesome event for my participants. If you keep enjoying High Trek Adventure, I’ll keep creating HTA events!
