The auto maker is taking a page from the web series We Lost Our Gold by hiding a treasure for video viewers to hunt down. Instead of a chest of gold, however, they’re using the new 2011 Dodge Journey… three of them, in fact.

Online video will play a huge role in the contest, including the delivery of clues to the whereabouts of the prize vehicles. They’ve also created a video explaining how the contest works and how you can participate:

The CitySolve Urban Race team loves social media and created a new game for all of you! All you have to do is follow us on Twitter and FourSquare.

Here’s how the game works: CitySolve will check-in to various locations throughout a city via FourSquare (these check-ins will post to our Twitter, but not our Facebook). All you have to do is follow where we are and catch us! The first person to catch us will win awesome prizes or a 5 minute time deduction!!! The time deduction is crucial as often what separates a win from second place is a meer minute or two!

We had our first winner of CitySolve Urban Race’s Mini Hunt (outside of the state of California)! Amanda Freitag (Twitter name: @amandamfreitag) of Dallas was the first to find our crew at Ten Sports Grill!

What’s a Mini Hunt? It’s an online and offline contest that requires you to use social media (Twitter). Once a week CitySolve Urban Race will post a clue. Your job is to be the first to find us. We’re usually at a bar. When you find us (assuming you’re the first person to do so) you’ll win great prizes!
