CitySolve Urban Race and Seattle Team Building Best Costume Winner 2015

Before CitySolve recaps the CitySolve Urban Race and Seattle Team Building we want to mention a great travel deal. For those of you who have never used Airbnb now is your chance to get up to $100 in credits. Just click here and you’ll be on your way your next great vacation!

For the first time since its inception in 2009 CitySolve Urban Race and Seattle Team Building was not in the shadows of the CenturyLink Field. Moving from Pioneer Square to South Lake Union and making Whole Foods Market our new home. We can’t wait to return to the healthy grocer next year.

The day started gray and overcast, but it seemed that Champagne Sunday chased the clouds away by playing virtually all day in conjunction with CitySolve Urban Race and Seattle Team Building at Whole Foods Market! We hope Jessi and Jared are there to play their fun pop originals and covers! Thanks gang!

A special shout out to the hip hop divas (pictured above) for their fly dress and smooth dance moves! They took home two incredible Jammy Packs. Now they can rock out with their pack out! WORD! Buy one today!

Our funny and energetic friends from Jet City Improv introduced CitySolve Urban Race and Seattle Team Building camped out (branded tent and all) at Denny Park. Teams battled each other or a seasoned improv player in the hilarious game of What Am I Doing?! The Seattle Amazing Race enthusiasts had an unbelievable time laughing and improving! Thanks again Jet City Improv!!!

Not to be outdone, Menchies in Capitol Hill joined in the Seattle scavenger hunt fun when it hosted a classic Minute to Win It game! PHEW! What a blast! Thank Alfredo for being a part of our Seattle amazing race!

We would also like thank our sponsor Alarm Monitoring in Phoenix.

We can’t wait to return to Seattle in 2016. We are excited to return to Whole Foods Market in South Lake Union too! See you next year!

Keep runnin’ runnin’ and runnin’ runnin’

Three apps that can prepare you in your next run
Whether it’s your first time running a 10k race or your 10th time, these apps will help you become better through preparing the correct way. By the time the actual race comes around, you’ll be able to cross the finish line faster and feel better physically, as long as you incorporate the lessons and tips given by each app to your training regimen.

Couch to 5K
This nice little app from can make your running life easier as it trains you how to prepare for runs that as far as 3 miles. It has 5 different audio coaches to choose from that will carefully guide you through each workout. It also tracks your pace, routes, and distance, so you can always monitor your progress. This app is great for beginners who want to build their stamina so they can last longer during races such as the CitySolve Urban Race challenge.

The app uses the phone’s GPS function in order to track a user’s distance. If this feature isn’t very important to your training, you can turn it off as it drains a lot of battery fast. If you have an old phone, one of the writers of the entertainment hub Pocket Fruity suggests that you rely on WiFi in order to save battery while using the app. Unless, of course, you keep an external battery in your pocket whenever you run – which is highly unlikely.

Those who have ample experience when it comes to running can rely CardioTrainer to track their workouts and weekly schedules. As the name suggests, the app focuses on cardio exercises to help people last longer when running. One of the best things about this app is that with each workout, users can earn “energy points” that can be used to unlock games within the app. The fitter the users get, the more features they can unlock.

Ghost Race
Don’t worry! Ghost Race isn’t some sort of Halloween-themed app that will scare you out of your skin. Ghost refers to the term used by video games to refer to a user’s personal record. Ghost race allows runners to pick a distance that they’d like to run over and over again until they can beat their personal best. It lets users compare daily performances, as well as get audio cues alerting them of their current progress.

Before CitySolve recaps the CitySolve Urban Race and Denver Team Building we want to mention a great travel deal. For those of you who have never used Airbnb now is your chance to get up to $100 in credits. Just click here and you’ll be on your way your next great vacation!

CitySolve Urban Race and Denver Team Building was more exciting than a John El…, er, Peyton Manning game winning drive (maybe preseason). Regardless, the nearly 200 Denver amazing race enthusiasts had a ball solving great puzzles and taking on exciting challenges.

We could not have pulled off this event without the help of the Rocky Mountain Rollergirls. Thanks ladies! The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls run an incredible community program where they empower women and instill confidence through flat track rollerskating.

The people of Orange Theory got a chance to whip CitySolve Urban Race and Team Building enthusiasts into shape! At this fitness challenge, teams ran, rowed and squatted their way through this all out sprint of a checkpoint. Move it! Move it! Awesome!

One checkpoint that our Denver scavenger hunt fans could not stop talking about was Voodoo Comedy Playhouse. Improv comedy lovers rejoice! Our Denver amazing race fanatics played a classic collaborative improv game! Thanks for making CitySolve Urban Race and Denver team building more fun!

Next up was Laundry on Lawrence. In order to find this Denver co-working space Denver scavenger hunt aficionados first had to solve a limerick. Remember, a limerick first, second and fifth lines rhyme! Once CitySolve Urban Race and Denver Team Building lovers found their way to the ultra cool workspace teams played the frat boy classic beer pong sans the beer (CitySolve Urban Race and Denver Team Building is kid friendly).

CitySolve Urban Race and Team Building Denver cannot wait to return to Stoney’s Bar & Grill. You can count on our 2016 Denver scavenger hunt to be better than this year! Woohoo! See you next year!

Before CitySolve recaps the CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building we want to mention a great travel deal. For those of you who have never used Airbnb now is your chance to get up to $100 in credits. Just click here and you’ll be on your way your next great vacation!

CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building returned to the great city of the north, Minneapolis and boy they had a better time than eating a hot dish in February! It also happened to be Pride weekend in Minneapolis and the most beautiful day in recent memory of CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building.

CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building could not have pulled off this event without the wonderful staff and volunteers from One2One. One2One is a mentorship program that helps youth who are struggling in their school environment. One2One mentors spend a minimum of one hour each week with their mentee for the entire school year. One2One really makes an impact, but it needs your help. For more information, please contact Katie Maldeis at 952.250.8859 or

Once all the Minneapolis Amazing Race enthusiasts solved the first clue and picked up their packets for the day that’s when everything got interesting. Teams had to navigate downtown and uptown via bus! A good handful of Minneapolis scavenger hunt lovers had never set foot on public the bus, so CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building was an education in getting around town via government subsides.

Most of the action took place in the Uptown section of Minneapolis. One of the favorite activities was making balloon animals at Tintos! What more can CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building say! F-U-N…fun, fun, fun!

From Mexican then onto the froyo fabulousness of Yogurt Lab of Uptown (they have the coolest topping bar set up) where teams were rewarded by playing a Minute to Win It game where these Minneapolis scavenger hunt sleuths had to pass M&Ms via straws sans hands. The fun continues!

CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building’s good friend at the Phoenix Theater had a classic improv game where Minneapolis Amazing Race fiends really had to use their brain at this checkpoint. This was the most fun spelling activity anyone could do sober!

Magers and Quinn Book Sellers had the ultimate in-store scavenger hunt! CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building delivered the five hints in their classic pop-culture style. Where else but a CitySolve Urban Race and Minneapolis Team Building activity would you find Aziz Ansari’s latest, one of the Harry Potters, Chronicles of Narnia (the shebang), the classic David Copperfield, and True Grit!

We will be back in next June, so grab your friends, your killer costume and prepare for an even greater adventure!
